THIS WEEK!: After over 60 hours of playing it via Proton (with and without friends), we REDEEM and vindicate the devs behind the immense and fascinating "No Man's Sky."
It's been a hell of a week since Proton dropped, so here are some of our personal picks for most impressive, best playing, least-represented in native linux, or (in the case of our number one title) all-time super-favorite long-deprived classic (SPOILER ALERT: it's "Bayonetta"). All this, "No Man's Sky," "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," PLUS: getting our asses handed to us by LinuxGameConsortium in Tekken 7 and MUCH MUCH BOOZE... er.. hic... sorry... I meant "mM0aR!"

This week, on the eve of our 200th EPISODE (yay us!), we drop the PROTON BOMB ON YOU. Yes: the rumors are true: Steam has been developing a secret fork of Wine to use as an interface tool between your normal, natively running steam games on Linux and Windows games. We contemplate what this might portend, even as we rejoice in TWO HUNDRED FUCKING EPISODES!

In this week's (unspeakably) exciting episode, we review a perennial favorite of ours, now finally out of Early Access. Yes, that's right, friends and neighbors, we finally review "Dead Cells (V1.0)" for Linux - and it should come as no shocker that we fucking love it. Also this week, we cover some new offerings, both of which are cell-shaded low-tri-style first person games, specifically "Polygod" and "State of Mind." Oh, and the column has RETURNED! All this and MOAR!

This week, we bring you another exciting installment of the best-loved classic running-feature: "What I'm Playing," focusing on the excellent Final Fantasy-esque "Battle Chasers: Nightwar," the insane DRP-esque 2D "Hoops"-like AI-gone-wrong madness of "Regular Human Basketball," as well as a new multiplayer mini-golf game (plus much, much more)! So, knowing that you are - just like myself continues to be - another, fellow human, prepare to enjoy some of these regular human podcast-moves!

This week, we talk about the plusses and minuses of Steam's new chat client interface and also discuss the potentially serious impacts of Steam's decision to end-of-life support for Windows XP and Vista (a move likely to impact many Linux gamers who run Steam installs for these easily configurable Windows OSes from within Wine Prefixes). But most of all, we rant effusively about "Project Gorgon:" could this be the first cross-platform "Skyrim"-flavored MMORPG to hit Linux? We believe that strong early results indicate that, yes, it totally is. All this and more! MUCH MOAR!

This week, we bring you MY BIRTHDAY: full on, in stereophonic insane-o-vision, big, bold, sassy and brassy! We talk about the wonderfully sentimental father-and-son story that is "Guts & Glory," get inquisitve with "Detective Case and Clown Bot," peruse the voxel-based 3rd-person rogue-like Zelda-ish universe of "Achaem," and then deliver a full-blown drunken rant about the state of Linux gaming overall and its relationship to top-tier titles. ALL THIS, and so much more!

This week, we tackle life AS IT IS (not as we would wish it to be)... this is a stark and cripplingly depressing episode that will plumb the depths of your soul, all the way down to the darkest million of your last, horrible, crippling thoughts. Ideally, it will leave you a wretched wreck of an emotionally disfigured monster-weirdo for school children to laugh at as they throw their feces and Trump-esque infantile taunts at you in the public square: debased, humiliated, and deeply mentally fucked. ... (...)... ... And who says I'm NOT FUN?!
